Hemaka Perera

Hemaka Perera currently serves as President of Asia Pacific for Assurant, overseeing operations since June 2018, and holds additional responsibilities as President for Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Previously, Hemaka was Director for South East Asia at The Warranty Group, where there was a focus on market entry and business re-establishment. Prior experience includes roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland as Country Executive for Thailand and Head of Transaction Services for Indonesia and Thailand, as well as leading Corporate Banking Services for Asia Pacific at Deutsche Bank. With extensive expertise in transaction banking, Hemaka has transformed business performance and client portfolios across various financial institutions. Hemaka holds an MBA from Edith Cowan University and a foundational education from St. Thomas College Mount Lavinia.
