Mariela Perez-Pennock

Mariela Perez-Pennock has extensive experience in the field of fraud compliance and investigations, highlighted by leadership roles at Assurant as AVP, SIU, Subrogation, Fraud Compliance and National Director of Special Investigations Unit from January 2020 to February 2025. Prior to that, Mariela served as Special Investigations Unit Manager at Olympus Homeowners Insurance, overseeing operations across Florida from April 2016 to January 2020. Additional experience includes management positions at North American Risk Services and a background as a Special Agent at the National Insurance Crime Bureau, along with working as a Sr. Special Investigator at Travelers Insurance. Mariela holds a Bachelor's degree in Voice Performance and Criminal Justice from the University of South Florida, earned between January 1985 and January 1994.
