Michael Gugig

Michael Gugig serves as the U.S. General Counsel at Assured Allies since November 2022. Prior to this role, Michael held various leadership positions at Transamerica from September 2016 to November 2022, including Vice President and Sr. Director of State Government Relations. Michael also served as General Counsel for Long Term Care Insurance at Genworth from August 2014 to September 2016, where significant emphasis was placed on managing legal functions across multiple areas. Earlier career experience includes a partnership at Saul Ewing LLP, where Michael co-chaired the Insurance Practice Group, and tenure as a partner at Dentons, where strategic legal guidance was provided to clients. Michael holds a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School and multiple degrees in strategy, leadership, and management from Michigan State University, as well as a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Kean University.
