Dave Ray

Dave Ray currently serves as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer for Alternative Investments at Assured Guaranty since July 2023. Previously, Dave held the positions of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Assured Investment Management from March 2021 to July 2023. Prior to that, Dave was the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Stabilis Capital Management from May 2019 to March 2021. Dave's extensive experience includes serving as Partner & General Counsel at White Oak Global Advisors and General Counsel at Greywolf Capital Management, where responsibilities encompassed fund formation, lending and M&A transactions, compliance oversight, and litigation management. Earlier career roles included Associate General Counsel at GSC Group and various corporate associate positions at prominent law firms such as Schulte Roth & Zabel, Dechert LLP, and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Dave holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Math from the University of Pennsylvania.
