Dr Robert Plana

Dr. Robert Plana serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Digital Transformation at Assystem, where responsibilities include leading the Innovation and Digital Department and driving digital transformation at the group level as a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to this, Dr. Plana held significant positions such as Director of Innovation and Ecosystem at GE Digital, where contributions included developing the industrial internet community in Europe and leading innovation programs with universities and start-ups. Additional roles span leadership positions in prominent organizations, including Chief Scientist at the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, and various academic appointments, where Dr. Plana has focused on nanotechnologies, ICT strategy, and collaborative research initiatives, while also authoring over 500 publications in the field. Dr. Plana's academic credentials include a PhD and a Habilitation to supervise research from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III.
