Justin Francis

Justin Francis has a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in various leadership roles. Justin currently serves as the Vice President of Mechanical Engineering at AST SpaceMobile, where they have been since May 2022. Prior to that, they were the Chief Mechanical Engineer for the same company, starting in May 2021. Justin also owned their own company, T.J. Francis & Partners, LLC, where they worked as the Owner starting in September 2014. Before that, they worked at Northrop Grumman as the Director of Engineering from August 2018 to May 2021. Justin also worked at Orbital ATK as a Senior Manager from October 2004 to August 2018. Justin's career began at General Dynamics Land Systems, where they worked as a Structural Analyst, specializing in Senior Structural Analysis on U.S.M., from 1997 to 2004.

Justin Francis received their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1995. Justin then pursued a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution, completing it in 2001.
