Maya Bernal

Maya Bernal, CPA, has an extensive work history in the accounting and financial reporting field. Maya currently serves as the Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting at AST SpaceMobile starting in March 2022. Prior to this role, Maya worked as the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting at Bluegreen Vacations from March 2021 to March 2022. Before that, they held the position of Senior Manager in Financial Reporting and Accounting at Bluegreen Vacations from June 2016 to March 2021.

Maya also gained valuable experience at Tyco, where they worked as a Manager of Internal Controls and Policies and as a Supervisor of Internal Controls and Policies for N.A. Products. Maya also served as a Senior Analyst in Technical Accounting for Tyco from July 2013 to May 2015. Maya started their career as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young LLP from September 2009 to July 2013.

Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Maya worked as a Senior Accountant at Spirit Airlines from July 2008 to September 2009.

Maya Bernal, CPA, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Florida International University - College of Business in 2008. Maya later pursued a Masters degree in Accounting from the same institution, graduating in 2009. Additionally, Maya has obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant.
