Biwei Pan earned a Ph.D. in Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2016. From 2017 to 2021, they served as a Senior Engineer at Huawei, focusing on photonic integrated chip design. Currently, Biwei holds a postdoctoral position at Ghent University and imec, where their research involves the heterogeneous integration of III-V semiconductor devices with silicon waveguide circuits. In 2025, they will transition to A*STAR Institute of Microelectronics as a Senior Scientist. With eight years of design and simulation experience, Biwei has developed extensive skills in micro-fabrication processes and photonic integrated circuit design tools.
