Jaco van der Merwe is the Group President at Astec Industries. Jaco was previously the President/Regional General Manager at Atlas Copco from November 2010 to June 2013. In this role, they were responsible for executing business plans for Sales, Marketing, and service teams; developing margins and controlling costs; liaising with customers and negotiating contracts; ensuring legal compliance and corporate governance; managing environmental, health, and safety; and developing and retaining people. From September 2004 to October 2010, Jaco was the President and VP Manufacturing at Atlas Copco Secoroc LLC. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, including product development, production planning, quality control, and customer service. Jaco also oversaw the transition of large deals into Atlas Copco.
