Salvatore Ferro

Salvatore Ferro is an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Executive Director and Global Development Project Lead at Astellas Pharma since April 2023. Prior to this role, Salvatore worked at BeiGene from September 2019 to April 2023, focusing on applied innovation in clinical development and leading global clinical development teams for solid tumors. From February 2015 to September 2019, Salvatore was with AstraZeneca as a Senior Medical Scientist and Clinical Lead in immuno-oncology, where responsibilities included developing and leading clinical trials. Additional experience includes a role as a Medical Scientist at AstraZeneca and Medical Affairs at Amgen from December 2009 to January 2015, as well as a position as a Research Assistant in oncology at the University of Rochester from June 2005 to August 2007. Salvatore holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
