Scott Thompson

Scott Thompson currently serves as Associate Director of Corporate Brand & Reputation and Corporate Communications at Astellas Pharma since October 2021. Prior to this, Thompson held several key positions at AstraZeneca, including Communications Manager for its Gothenburg site and Manager of Global Internal Communications, where responsibilities included developing extensive communication strategies and editorial content. Experience also includes roles at Edelman as an Account Manager in Health, where Thompson managed communications for several global pharmaceutical clients, and at Population Services International as Associate Communications Manager, focusing on health campaigns across multiple regions. Earlier career efforts at the World Resources Institute involved managing communications for projects in Central Africa, and internships at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and French-American Foundation provided foundational skills in research and content development. Thompson holds a B.A. in Political Science and French from Wake Forest University and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
