Doug Proffitt

Doug Proffitt is an experienced engineering manager with a solid background in mechanical engineering and business analytics. Currently serving at Astemo since October 2019, Doug has held multiple positions, including Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer, and Senior Engineer, where responsibilities included managing a team of engineers, overseeing machining processes, and leading capacity expansion projects with a budget of $3 million. Previous experience includes roles at Plastic Omnium and Ascend Performance Materials, where Doug was involved in assembly engineering, maintenance, and reliability engineering. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and is currently completing an MBA and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics at Auburn University Harbert College of Business, while also holding a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management.
