Merve Marcali

Merve Marcali is an experienced professional currently serving as Team Leader and Advanced Product Developer at AstenJohnson since June 2023. Previous roles include Product Development Engineer at Abbott from February 2021 to February 2023 and Graduate Research Assistant for a PhD at the University of Waterloo from January 2016 to August 2020. Merve has also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for an MSc at Bilkent University, advised by Prof. Caglar Elbuken, and held research internships at Jade University of Applied Sciences and Koç University. Initial experience includes a summer internship at Dräger in 2011. Merve holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, a Master’s degree in Material Science and Nanotechnology from Bilkent University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Baskent University.
