Rakesh Vitta

Rakesh Vitta has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Rakesh currently holds the position of Senior Principal Product Application Engineer at Astera Labs since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Microchip Technology Inc. for three different roles as a Technical Staff Applications Engineer from March 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining Microchip, Rakesh worked at Microsemi Corporation as a Software Field Application Engineer from May 2016 to March 2020. Rakesh also served as a Senior MTS - Software Applications Engineer at Microsemi from February 2015 to May 2016.

Rakesh's work journey began at Vitesse Semiconductor (now Microsemi) in May 2010. Rakesh worked as an Application Engineer, where they handled various responsibilities such as working on Carrier Ethernet Features, developing drivers for OTN and GFP protocols, customizing projects for customers, and resolving technical issues during the development phases.

Rakesh started their career at Wipro Technologies in June 2006 and worked there for four years. During their time at Wipro, Rakesh held different positions, including Application Lead for Network Access Products Module, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Engineer. Rakesh was primarily responsible for software related to SONET/SDH and ATM products.

Rakesh Vitta completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they attended Sri Krishnaveni Talent School, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this educational institution. Additionally, in December 2014, Rakesh obtained certification as a MEF CECP 2.0 Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional from the MEF (Metro Ethernet Forum).
