Lillian Colasurdo

Director, Public Health Law & Data Sharing at ASTHO

Lillian Colasurdo has a diverse work experience. Lillian currently holds the position of Director, Public Health Law & Data Sharing at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials since September 2021. Prior to that, they served as Assistant Attorney General at the Attorney General, Vermont Office of from April 2018 to September 2021. From August 2012 to April 2018, Lillian worked at the Vermont Department of Health as a Public Health Policy Advisor. Lillian also had roles as Interim Program Chief - Healthy Homes Lead Poisoning Prevention Program and Policy & Implementation Analyst during their tenure there. Before joining the Vermont Department of Health, Lillian worked as an Adult Protective Services Investigator at the State of Vermont from March 2011 to August 2011. Lillian began their career as a Zookeeper at the Memphis Zoo from January 2005 to August 2007.

Lillian Colasurdo obtained a Juris Doctor, cum laude degree, as well as a Master of Environmental Law & Policy, cum laude degree, from Vermont Law and Graduate School from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Bennington College in 2004. In 2003, they also studied Wildlife Management at the School for Field Studies. Lillian also holds additional certifications, including a Global Certificate in Legal Epidemiology from the Center for Public Health Law Research, Temple University Beasley School of Law (expected in 2023) and a Bar Admission from the Vermont Supreme Court (in 2010).
