Sara Bell, MPH, currently serves as a Senior Analyst in Public Health Systems and Planning at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials since August 2023. Prior to this role, Sara worked as a Project Coordinator at the Montana Office of Rural Health & Area Health Education Center from November 2020 to August 2023 and as a Program Coordinator at the University of Montana between September 2016 and November 2020. Earlier experience includes a position as a Program Assistant at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment from April 2014 to September 2016 and as a Registrar Evaluator and Student Employee at Montana State University-Bozeman from August 2009 to December 2013. Sara holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Montana, attained between 2017 and 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from Montana State University-Bozeman, completed in 2012.

ASTHO
ASTHO is the national nonprofit organization representing public health agencies in the United States, the U.S. Territories, and the District of Columbia, and over 100,000 public health professionals these agencies employ. ASTHO members, the chief health officials of these jurisdictions, formulate and influence sound public health policy and ensure excellence in state-based public health practice. ASTHO's primary function is to track, evaluate, and advise members on the impact and formation of public or private health policy which may affect them and to provide them with guidance and technical assistance on improving the nation's health.
