Nick Beattie

Nick Beattie is an experienced aerodynamicist currently serving as a Senior Aerodynamicist at Aston Martin F1 Team since June 2017, having previously held positions as Aerodynamicist and Junior Aerodynamicist. Prior to this, Nick worked at MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, focusing on developing aerodynamic concepts and conducting wind tunnel tests during an industrial placement in aerodynamics. Nick's earlier experience includes leading the Class 1 Chassis Systems at UGRacing, where management responsibilities encompassed overseeing various technical teams and budget management, complemented by engineering tasks in suspension system design and aerodynamics. Nick began the professional journey with a Mechanical Design Internship at CHC Helicopter and has a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow, alongside a High School education from Banchory Academy.
