Emma Weir

Emma Weir is a seasoned professional in the field of sport and exercise psychology, currently serving as the Head of Academy Psychology at Aston Villa Football Club since November 2019. With a background that includes roles as Lead Sport and Exercise Psychologist and Academy Psychologist, Emma has honed expertise in psychological support within sports environments. Emma's recent experience at The Football Association involved working as a Sport Psychologist for the Para Performance Foundation Programme and Talent Pathway. Prior to these roles, Emma was engaged with Loughborough Sport as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist in Training and contributed to various positions at Coventry University Students' Union, focusing on sport participation and society coordination. Emma holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University and a Master of Science in Psychology from Coventry University.
