Dimitris Karaoulanis

Senior Agile Project Manager at Astoria Solutions

Dimitris Karaoulanis has worked in the telecommunications industry since 1992. Dimitris began their career at Siemens as a Dimensioning Engineer and Roll Out Group Leader for the Greek Telecommunications Organization (O.T.E.). In 1996, they moved to Ericsson as a Project Manager for the Vodafone Account. Dimitris then joined Nokia in 1998 as a National Project Coordinator and BSS Field Manager. From 2003 to 2007, they worked at Hewlett-Packard as a Senior Project Manager for IT projects related to the telecommunications sector. In 2007, they joined Med Net International as a Program Manager for the Munich Re group in the region. In 2010, they moved to TWIN PEAK as a Program Manager and Head of Project Management Office. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at NCR Corporation as a Program Manager for the TERADATA Data Warehouse project in the National Bank of Abu Dhabi. In 2020, they joined Astoria Solutions as Director of Business Development for the region of Abu Dhabi.

Dimitris Karaoulanis obtained a Bachelor in Electronics from Athens/Piraeus University of Applied Sciences between 1985 and 1989. Dimitris then went on to obtain an M.B.A. in quality management from the University of Sunderland between 1999 and 2000, followed by an M.B.A. from the same institution between 1998 and 2000. Dimitris then pursued a Master's degree in Project Management from The George Washington University between 2004 and 2005, and an MSc in Project Management from the University of Washington between 2004 and 2005. In December 2021, Dimitris obtained a certification in Design Thinking: From Insights to Viability from Stanford GSB Executive Education.
