Jolien Hens is an experienced professional with a diverse background in communication and sales. Currently serving as Employer Communication Coordinator and Commercial Coordinator at Astra Sweets since September 2018, Jolien has also worked as a freelance journalist for Gazet van Antwerpen from May 2018 to July 2021 and was a Key Account Sales Executive at SUEZ from August 2016 to September 2018. Earlier in 2014, Jolien completed an internship at the Fédération départementale de Familles Rurales de l'Aveyron. Jolien holds a Master's degree in Multilingual Communication from KU Leuven campus Antwerpen (2014-2016) and a Bachelor's degree in Office Management from Thomas More Kempen (2011-2014), along with a secondary education in Secretarial Languages from Heilig Graf Patersstraat (2009-2011).

Astra Sweets adds flavour to the confectionery sector. From our plants in Turnhout (BE), Harlingen (NL) and Nijkerk (NL), we bring delight to consumers in over 25 countries with our delicious sweets. We mainly develop and manufacture private label products, but also have a number of strong brands in our portfolio, including Frisia. Within 3 product categories: gums, mallows and UFOs, we capitalise on trends and develop new ones ourselves, in order to give clients every opportunity and to surprise consumers. Innovation, quality and service play a major role in our organisation.
