Eric Carlson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in advanced technology and vehicle design. Currently serving as Principal Advanced Technology Engineer at Astra since September 2021, Carlson previously held senior roles at Daimler Trucks North America and General Motors, focusing on electric vehicle architecture and program engineering for autonomous and electrified vehicles, notably Cadillac Super Cruise. Prior experience includes engineering positions at Ford Motor Company and leadership as owner of Carlson Boatworks. Carlson's earlier career includes significant contributions to high-speed amphibious vehicles at Gibbs Technologies Inc. and Gibbs & Cox. Carlson holds a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan.
