Ilya Sharapov

Ilya Sharapov is a Principal Engineer in the Advanced Technology Group at Cerebras Systems, where responsibilities include algorithmic improvements for machine learning and high-performance computing workloads, as well as performance modeling and optimization. Previously, Ilya served as an HPC Performance Architect at Intel Corporation, contributing to hardware-software co-design projects and leading workload analysis for future processors. Prior experience includes work as a Hardware Performance Architect at Apple, Inc., where performance characteristics of products were analyzed, and as a Senior Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems, Inc., focusing on workload characterization and computer architecture analysis. Ilya holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCLA and a Master's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
