Owen Convery

Owen Convery is a Communications Systems Engineer at Astranis Space Technologies, responsible for system-level link budgeting, developing beam-forming algorithms, analyzing radio-frequency datasets, and collaborating with the network planning team. Convery has served as the Student Advisory Board Secretary and Chapter President for The Tau Beta Pi Association, Inc., where initiatives included revitalizing the chapter on campus and organizing the first annual "Tau Beta Prom." Previously, Convery held roles such as the UC Santa Barbara Student Chapter President and Lab Manager for IEEE, managing outreach and overseeing electrical equipment. As a Software Engineering Intern at Eikon Therapeutics, Convery focused on machine learning for drug discovery, and at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, Convery contributed to multiple projects involving neural networks and data acquisition systems. Convery holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
