Tyler McCown

Tyler McCown is a GNC Engineer at Astranis since July 2021, following experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA Mechatronics and Controls Laboratory where research focused on novel over-actuated multirotor systems. Prior roles include internships at Amazon in Hardware Reliability for the Amazon Scout, and leadership as ECVT Controls Lead Engineer at Bruin Racing, where Tyler designed and validated a digital feedback control system. Earlier experience includes generating humanoid walking motion at RoMeLa, providing software solutions at UCLA Systems Engineering Laboratory, and supervising student workers at UCLA Powell Library. Tyler McCown holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA.
