Amber Yaelsylvia Balazs

Amber YaelSylvia Balazs currently serves as a Director at AstraZeneca, where responsibilities include roles as an Analytical Chemist and Analytical Chemistry Team Leader with a focus on NMR specialization. Previously, Amber was a Visiting Scientist at Harvard Medical School, collaborating with Prof. James Chou on NMR structural biology and membrane protein channels. Amber's extensive experience includes serving as the NMR Laboratory Head at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, overseeing lab management, training, and collaborative research projects. Additionally, Amber has taught Nuclear Magnetic Resonance courses, providing practical training for undergraduate and graduate students. Earlier in the career, Amber held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Weizmann Institute of Science and started out as a raft guide. Amber earned a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry and NMR Spectroscopy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
