Aurélie THOMAS

Aurélie Thomas is a Senior Director in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in animal sciences and technologies at AstraZeneca since 2020. With over 15 years of experience as a veterinarian, they hold an EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist designation in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics, and Law, and a PhD focused on the refinement of animal models. Aurora has previously served in various roles including Named Veterinary Surgeon at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and veterinary advisor for Brooke, Action For Working Horses and Donkeys. They have extensive global experience across Europe, the USA, and Africa, and are actively involved as a board member of the European Society of Laboratory Animal Veterinarians.
