Dan Russell

Dan Russell is a seasoned project leader and manager with over twenty-five years of experience in research and clinical development, having delivered compounds into Phase I trials through proof of concept. They possess broad oncology expertise, contributing to strategic and clinical development plans in various cancers, including solid tumors and hematological malignancies, with a recent focus on immune oncology. Previously, Dan held the position of Principal Scientist II at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals from 1993 to 2022, where they also managed project budgets and co-led lead generation and optimization teams. Dan earned a chemistry degree and a PhD in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, they are retired, working as a freelance professional.
