Donna Soucy Zarzuela

Donna Soucy Zarzuela has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on global development and clinical research. From February 2019 to July 2024, Donna served as a Global Development Senior Group Director at AstraZeneca, overseeing late-stage cardiovascular and renal metabolism projects while also acting as a Global Clinical Program Lead. Prior to that, Donna held the role of Global Development Medical Science Director, concentrating on late-complex cardiovascular and renal medicine. Donna's career began in clinical pharmacy, working as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the University of Maryland Medical System from January 1991 to January 1997, and earlier as a Pharmacy Resident at Hartford Hospital from January 1990 to January 1991. Educational credentials include a PharmD from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and a recent completion of the American Course on Drug Development and Regulatory Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco.
