Eileen McBride holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Strathclyde, earned between October 2004 and June 2008, focusing on a novel drug delivery system for inflammatory bowel disease. Eileen's professional experience includes roles at AstraZeneca as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from May 2011 to August 2015, culminating in a position as Senior Scientist focused on late-stage biopharmaceutics. Eileen also led the PT&D Global Graduate Programme aimed at developing scientific leaders and served as Team Leader for a late-stage pharmaceutics team. Further responsibilities included the role of Director of Patient Experience and Innovation, working on patient-focused digital solutions. Prior to this, Eileen worked as a Pre-Registration Pharmacist at Quintiles from 2003 to 2004.
