Giulia Bergonzini

Giulia Bergonzini is the Director of Chemistry at AstraZeneca, where they focus on DNA-encoded libraries and enhancing compound collections. Giulia previously held the role of Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca from 2020 to 2023 and worked as a Process Development Chemist at GSK in 2016. They completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry and Catalysis at ICIQ from 2009 to 2013, following a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Bologna, both with honors. Giulia has also contributed to the field as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Gothenburg between 2014 and 2016.
