Gunnar Haeffler

Gunnar Haeffler is an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical and technology sectors, currently serving as Director of Global Project Management at AstraZeneca since August 2005. Haeffler manages late phase projects within cardiovascular, renal, metabolism, gastrointestinal, and neuroscience therapeutic areas, leading global and cross-functional teams to align project strategy and delivery. Previous roles at AstraZeneca include Director/Team Leader for Inhalation Product Development, Information Systems Leader, and Team Manager for Drug Product Manufacture, among others. Before AstraZeneca, Haeffler held leadership positions at Siemens Laser Analytics AB and the Swedish Pulp and Paper Research Institute. Haeffler holds an M.Sc. and PhD in Physics from Chalmers University of Technology and gained expertise as an exchange student in Engineering Physics at Technische Universität Dresden.
