Ioana Oprisiu

Ioana Oprisiu is an experienced cheminformatics data scientist currently working at AstraZeneca since November 2016, focusing on data science in the areas of computational ADME and safety. Previous roles include postdoctoral fellow at Syngenta, where Ioana conducted QSAR analysis and modeling of biological activity, and Marie-Curie ECO Fellow at HelmholtzZentrum München, integrating mixtures treatment into OCHEM for QSPR model development. Ioana also completed a PhD at the University of Strasbourg, where research involved predictive modeling, and held several internships, including a position at Johnson & Johnson related to ligand-receptor interactions and QSAR model development. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master’s degree in cheminformatics from the University of Strasbourg, a Master's in Organic Chemistry from INSA Rouen Normandie, and a Bachelor's degree in Informatics.
