Karin Åvall

Karin Åvall is currently the Director of Cardiovascular in vivo at AstraZeneca, having previously held positions such as Associate Principal Scientist and Team Leader for the Cardiovascular in vivo team. Karin's academic background includes a PhD in Endocrinology and a Master's degree in Biomedicine from the Karolinska Institutet, where they also completed a Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science. Before joining AstraZeneca, Karin gained research experience through various internships and roles, including a Research Intern at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics and a Research Intern at Karolinska Institutet. They also worked as a Laboratory Technician at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset and as a Barista at Muffinsfabriken.
