Mushtaq Husain

Mushtaq Husain is a seasoned immunology expert with extensive experience in CAR-T cell therapies and translational biology. Currently serving as Director of CAR-T Cell Therapy Development at Overland Pharmaceuticals since September 2022, Mushtaq Husain leads the development of CAR-T cell therapies and collaborates with company leadership on project strategies. Prior roles include Associate Director at Abintus Bio, where Mushtaq Husain oversaw the Translational Biology Team and established infrastructure for in vivo CAR-T product development, and Scientist at Fate Therapeutics, contributing to the first iPSC-derived CAR-T cell therapy. Mushtaq Husain also held positions at La Jolla Institute for Immunology and Indian Council of Medical Research, with a focus on T cell research and immunology. Mushtaq Husain holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Immunology from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences and advanced degrees in Biotechnology.
