Pengyi Zhao

Pengyi Zhao is a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca since March 2021, previously holding the position of Scientist I. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the New Jersey Institute of Technology from September 2018 to February 2021, where work focused on microdroplet ultrafast digestion for antibody characterization. Pengyi Zhao also interned as an Analytical Chemistry Intern at Merck during the summer of 2019, specializing in the characterization of high-order structures of stressed monoclonal antibodies using crosslinking mass spectrometry. Earlier, as a Research Assistant at Ohio University from September 2016 to August 2018, research involved studying P-glycoprotein and drug interactions through mass spectrometry techniques. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Analytical Chemistry with a concentration in Mass Spectrometry obtained from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Ohio University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Analysis from China Pharmaceutical University.
