Renee Iacona is a seasoned executive in the field of oncology research and development, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Oncology R&D at AstraZeneca since April 2001. Throughout a distinguished career with AstraZeneca, Renee has held several leadership roles, including Vice President of Oncology Biometrics and Section Director for Statistics and Programming, focusing on trial design, analysis, and regulatory submissions. In addition to corporate responsibilities, Renee actively contributes to academic and community organizations, holding board positions with the University of Tennessee Foundation, Vanderbilt University Graduate School, and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Educational credentials include a PhD in Pathology and a Master’s in Public Health with a specialization in Biostatistics from Vanderbilt University, along with a Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
