Rosa Ghatee

Rosa Ghatee, PhD, is a senior scientist at AstraZeneca specializing in cell and gene therapy drug development since June 2021. Previously, Rosa served as a postdoctoral fellow at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, focusing on lentivirus formulation and stability. Rosa's experience includes optimizing drug delivery methods as a formulation and novel drug delivery intern at Luye Lifesciences USA and conducting research as an NSF EPSCoR graduate fellow and research assistant at the University of Rhode Island, where projects involved developing conductive hydrogels and analyzing drug release properties. Rosa commenced an academic career with a bachelor's degree in material science and engineering from Shiraz University, followed by a master's in electrical and biomedical engineering and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
