Sharad Verma

Sharad Verma is a Senior Director in Early Oncology Clinical Sciences at AstraZeneca, bringing over 20 years of experience in drug discovery and development in oncology. They have held leadership roles in big pharma, academia, and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), where they managed cross-functional teams and drove projects from target identification through clinical trials. Sharad previously served as Director of the Neurofibromatosis Program at Johns Hopkins University and held significant positions at GlaxoSmithKline, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, and the NCI. They obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC Irvine and have contributed to various scholarly works, workshops, and initiatives in the field.
