Peter Burrows

Peter Burrows currently serves as a Trustee at Astrea Academy Trust and has been the Chief Executive of The Cambridge Building Society since March 2016, where Peter also holds the title of Finance Director. With a rich background in governance, Burrows was a non-executive Governor at York College from December 2005 to May 2016. Previously, Peter held the positions of Chief Executive and Finance Director at Engage Mutual, as well as a Non-Executive Director at the Association of Financial Mutuals. Their extensive experience at Aviva Europe spanned various roles in financial management and reporting from January 2003 to November 2010. Burrows began their career at Ernst & Young, where Peter worked in consulting and audit from September 1990 to December 2002. Burrows's educational background includes a degree from the University of Oxford, complemented by foundational studies at Whitgift School.
