Sonia Hutchison is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership, fundraising, and property management. Currently serving as Director at Strawberry Property Investing Ltd, Strawberry Rentals Ltd, and Strawberry Hotels Ltd, Sonia is focused on ethical property deals, short-term rentals, and contactless hotel management. As Director of Strawberry Life, Sonia provides consultancy to charities, while also contributing as Operations Lead for ASTRiiD, managing volunteer involvement in trust and foundation fundraising. In a trustee role for the Young Carers Development Trust and as Executive Director, Sonia supports young carers in achieving their goals. Additionally, past roles include Chief Executive at Carers' Centre Bath and North East Somerset and fundraising positions with Ovacome and Bath Carers Enterprises Ltd. Sonia holds a PhD in Sustainable Leadership from the University of Cumbria and a BSc in Psychology and Social Policy from London South Bank University.

Astriid is a UK charity that connects people with long-term conditions (and carers) with meaningful work and amazing employers. Founded by David Shutts OBE following his cancer diagnosis, we believe that the value of work is far more than the wages paid. Employment provides routine, a sense of normality, challenges and rewards, and when approached correctly, can also facilitate a greater sense of wellbeing. We also work directly with employers and organisations, offering bespoke research, consultancy, talks, and training. We are subject experts in inclusive working, especially for those with Energy Limiting Conditions, and many of our small team who live with long-term conditions are experts by experience too. We’re a small charity with huge ambitions. Our mission is to make working practice more inclusive for people with long-term conditions, but we rely on donations, fundraising and volunteering to help make this a reality.
