Andrew Seel

Andrew Seel has a diverse range of work experience in the field of engineering. Andrew most recently worked as a Software Integration and Test Engineer at Astrobotic starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they were a System Integration and Test Engineer at Ball Aerospace from June 2018 to July 2022. Andrew also worked as a Spacecraft Control Engineer at DigitalGlobe from April 2017 to June 2018.

Before joining these companies, Andrew had experience as a research intern at DLR, where they supported Telepresence experiments and worked on motion prediction of tumbling rigid bodies. Andrew also worked as a research assistant at LRT (Institute for Aeronautics) at the Technische Universität München, where they assisted in documenting the RACOON-Lab Simulator and wrote utility programs.

Andrew's work experience also includes being an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, where they worked on non-boolean computation and pattern recognition. Andrew also worked on the development of ground station software and literature review of geomagnetic physics at Montana State University-Bozeman.

Additionally, Andrew gained industry experience as an intern at ATLAS ELEKTRONIK GmbH, where they investigated the use of Adaptive Filtering on sonar data using MATLAB.

Andrew Seel completed their education with a Master's of Science degree in the ESPACE Master's Program: Satellite Applications Engineering - Remote Sensing Concentration from the Technical University of Munich, from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, from 2009 to 2014.
