Jeremy Dunne

Propulsion Engineer at Astrobotic Technology

Jeremy Dunne has a diverse work experience in engineering, with a focus on propulsion systems. Jeremy is currently working as a Propulsion Engineer at Astrobotic. Prior to this, they served as a Team Lead at Case Rocket Team, where they led a team in designing and building a rocket for a competition. Jeremy also developed an air brake system and a flight computer capable of real-time tracking and control for high-power rockets.

Jeremy has also worked as a Propulsion Engineer Journeyperson at Masten Space Systems, where they supported the design and analysis of a bipropellant Methane/LOX reusable vehicle. Jeremy performed propulsion system analysis and selected fluid components for a Methalox engine. Jeremy also designed and manufactured a bipropellant engine test stand.

Jeremy gained further experience as a Propulsion Engineering Intern at Masten Space Systems, where they designed and manufactured an engine test stand and supported engine testing operations. Additionally, they worked as a Propulsion Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Virgin Orbit, where they developed work instructions, designed welding fixtures, and improved the inspection process for tube assemblies.

Earlier in their career, Jeremy worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Jergens Inc., where they designed fixtures and operations for unattended machine loading and programmed a CMM machine. Jeremy also worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Jergens Inc., where they designed and fabricated functional gauges, developed standard work documentation, and implemented a preventative maintenance schedule.

Jeremy's work experience also includes roles as a Student Fabrication Technician at Sears think[box], where they instructed and supervised users in prototyping parts, and as a Team Member at CWRUBotix, where they designed and fabricated components for robotic competitions.

In addition to their engineering experience, Jeremy has worked as a Teacher at Engineering For Kids, where they taught students about various engineering concepts and projects during summer camps.

Jeremy Dunne received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Jeremy attended the university from 2018 to 2022. In addition, Jeremy obtained the Solidworks Certified Associate (CSWA) certification from Dassault Systèmes in April 2019.
