Nolan Sornson

Nolan Sornson has experience working as an Avionics Engineer I at Astrobotic since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Electrical Engineer at Naval Nuclear Laboratory (FMP) from June 2021 to July 2022. Nolan also worked as a Data Analytics Intern (Remote) at Exchange Analytics Inc. from June 2020 to January 2021. Before that, Nolan served as a Team Advisor for Lehigh University Formula SAE from April 2020 to January 2021, and as a Team Captain, Business Team Member, Electrical Team Lead, and Electrical Team Member for the same organization from 2017 to 2020. Nolan gained experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Strandwitz Research Group from April 2019 to December 2019. Additionally, Nolan has held various positions such as Summer Operations Intern at Mullins Food Products in 2018, Honor Caddy at Briarwood Country Club from 2013 to 2018, Retail Associate at Deerfield Cyclery Inc in 2017, and Referee Level 2 at Illinois Hockey Officials Association from November 2013 to February 2015.

Nolan Sornson started their education at Deerfield High School, where they attended from 2013 to 2017. After completing high school, they enrolled at Lehigh University in 2017 and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree. At Lehigh University, they were part of the Integrated Business and Engineering Honors Program and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Business and Engineering. Nolan also earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

In terms of additional certifications, Nolan Sornson achieved the Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from Lehigh University in December 2018. Furthermore, they obtained the LabVIEW Fundamentals One and Two certification from Data Science Automation in December 2022. Lastly, they received the IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies Certification from IPC in November 2022.
