Kjell Karlsen

Kjell Karlsen has extensive experience in financial leadership, currently serving as Group Chief Financial Officer and CFO/COO at Astrocast since September 2016, where efforts focus on launching a nanosatellite constellation to provide affordable global M2M services. Prior to this role, Kjell held positions such as Executive Vice President & CFO at the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation from March 2014 to February 2016, and President at Sea Launch from October 1999 to March 2014, where successful strategies led to positive revenue growth post-bankruptcy. Additional roles include leadership positions at Kvaerner Inc. and DNB, where strategic management and customer engagement were pivotal. Kjell holds an MBA from Lehigh University and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Oregon.
