Shashi Rabbipal

Shashi Rabbipal has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the General Manager of Stakeholder Engagement and General Manager of Transformation and Security at Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd. since October 2018. Previous roles include Executive Chairman at Chevron, overseeing corporate governance and stakeholder relationships in South Africa and Botswana, and Chairperson of the South African Petroleum Industry Association, representing industry interests and promoting regulatory frameworks. Other notable positions held at Chevron involve managing transformation strategy, new business acquisition, and sales and marketing support across various regions. Shashi holds a BA in Law from the University of Durban Westville and a BPROC degree from the University of South Africa, complemented by executive education at Columbia Business School.
