Jason Mansfield has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jason started their career in 1996 as a Machinist for the ND Army National Guard before transitioning to the WI Army National Guard in 1999, where they served as a CW2 Aviation Maintenance Technician and managed the aviation maintenance program for an assault helicopter battalion. During this time, they also managed the maintenance company's safety program.
In 1999, Mansfield began working at Astronautics Corporation of America as a Design Engineer, responsible for coordinating various avionics design activities and designing mechanical and optical assemblies that could withstand extreme environmental conditions. Jason later assumed the role of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and became involved in providing design solutions for electronics to survive aviation environments.
From 2013 onwards, Mansfield had a concurrent role at WI-ARNG as an Allied Trades Technician, managing a shop providing fabrication and vehicle recovery services and overseeing the Commander's safety program.
In 2017, Mansfield briefly worked as a Machinist at PST (Precision Screw Thread), specializing in machining.

Jason Mansfield has a diverse education history. In 1987 to 1988, they attended Seoul American High School and obtained a High School Diploma with a field of study in General Studies. Jason then went on to enroll at North Dakota State University from 1996 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1992, Jason attended the Noncommissioned Officer Education System for Military Leadership. Following that, from 2009 to 2010, they studied at the Warrant Officer Career College, specializing in Military Leadership. Jason returned to the Army Logistics University in 2014 to 2015, completing the Warrant Officer Basic Course with a focus on Allied Trades. In 2017, they furthered their education at the Army Logistics University, completing the Warrant Officer Advanced Course in Automotive Maintenance Management.
