Ken Krueger

Senior Hardware Design Engineer at Astronautics

Ken Krueger started their work experience in 1980 at Alcatel-Lucent (formerly Bell Labs/AT&T/Lucent), where they worked for 32+ years as a Member of Technical Staff. Their expertise lies in fault tolerant systems with a focus on FPGA design, including integrating IP blocks, soft processors, custom logic, and device pin-outs for board layout. Ken has been involved in various aspects of design, such as architecture, requirements, FPGA design, simulation, board level design, model bring-up, software integration, environmental test, manufacture introduction, and customer support. In 2013, Ken joined Astronautics Corporation of America as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, where they led a team of seven engineers in developing FPGA VHDL design and verification for a remote electronics unit controlling/monitoring aircraft flight surfaces.

Ken Krueger received their first degree in Electrical Technology from Milwaukee Area Technical College between 1978 and 1980. Ken then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science/Electronics from Aurora University, which they completed between 1986 and 1989. Lastly, Ken Krueger obtained a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications with a Wireless Concentration from Southern Methodist University, attending from 2000 to 2002.
