Sherry Jones

Sherry Jones, PHR, has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. Sherry is currently employed at Astronautics Corporation of America as the Human Resources Director since May 2021. Their role here includes administering HR programs, communicating policies and procedures to management, and aligning HR practices with the company's strategic goals.

Prior to this, Sherry worked at Eaton for several years. From 2008 to 2015, they served as the Human Resources Manager for the North Street location. In this role, they provided support to over 260 managers, front-line leaders, and hourly employees. Sherry ensured compliance with HR policies, conducted new-hire orientations and exit interviews, and partnered with business leaders on various HR activities such as talent reviews and recruiting.

At Eaton's Cooper Power Systems, Sherry held various HR positions between 1987 and 2008. Sherry was the Human Resources Manager for two plants, supported over 400 employees, and was responsible for implementing HR programs and processes. Sherry also served as the Manager of Compensation and Administration, where they assisted multiple locations with benefits and compensation administration. Sherry's experience also includes roles as an Employee Relations Manager, Human Resources Supervisor, Human Resources Administrator, and Senior Compensation and Benefits Associate.

Throughout their career, Sherry has demonstrated their expertise in HR program implementation, employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance. Sherry is well-versed in using HRIS systems and has experience in streamlining HR tasks. Sherry's work experience highlights their ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and align HR practices with organizational goals.

Sherry Jones, PHR, obtained their Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Geography and English Writing from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from 1980 to 1984. In addition to their formal education, Sherry has also earned certifications including the PHR - Professional Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in October 2020, as well as the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HRCI in the same month and year.
