Michael Claassen

Michael Claassen is an experienced software engineer currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Astronomer since July 2022, having previously held the positions of Senior Software Engineer within the same company. Prior experience includes various roles at Manulife from April 2014 to July 2022, where Michael progressed from Software Developer to Lead Engineer and then to Staff Engineer. Earlier career stages involved software development at Candura Instruments and EVault, where responsibilities included software development and quality assurance testing. Michael holds an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Systems Analyst from Sheridan College, earned between 2010 and 2013.
