Alejandro Lastra

Alejandro Lastra currently serves as the Managing Director for the Americas at AstroPay since September 2025, overseeing P&L across Latin America (excluding Brazil and Argentina). Additionally, Alejandro is a Professor in the Department of Law at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, a role held since January 2023. Previous positions include Chief Executive Officer at Grupo Gretan, Legal External Adviser and Vice President of Legal & Compliance for the LATAM Region at Passport, and Head of Government & Institutional Affairs at Conekta. Alejandro's extensive experience in legal and compliance roles includes serving as the Head of Legal & Compliance at Grupo Salinas, Legal Director for Special Economic Zones at the Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público, and Legal Adviser to the Governor of the Estado de México. Alejandro co-founded Predify and has held advisory roles in government affairs. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Policy from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
